StreamScan, based in Montreal, was founded in 2011 by Karim Ganame, doctor and leading researcher in the field of cybersecurity. His mission ? Delivering a whole new approach to cybersecurity and empowering organizations of all sizes to afford next-level IT protection. The StreamScan team, made up of AI specialists, analysts, cybersecurity researchers and ethical hackers, has developed its CDS surveillance technology as the backbone of its offering. But in the first few years, they realized that most small and medium businesses just didn’t have the security team needed to manage and operate the system. To address this gap, StreamScan launched its Detection and Managed Response (DRG) service. For small and medium-sized businesses, the DRG provides state-of-the-art computer surveillance technology backed by a dedicated team of experts. All for a fraction of the cost of running an internal security team or outsourcing to a standard MSSP. StreamScan now has clients in many industries, particularly the manufacturing industry, the healthcare industry and the pharmaceutical industry. In 2019, CDS technology was selected by the Canadian Federal Government as the pre-approved security technology for all government departments and partners.
