New editiaon of BSidesLjubljana is in preparation. Please save the date – BSidesLjubljana will take place on March 10th in 2018 at Poligon creative centre, Ljubljana.
BSides is community driven information security event and here is the challenge – WE NEED YOUR HELP! We cannot do it without your participation (giving a talk/workshop, sponsoring, volunteering, helping us or just be at present there).
FIRST Technical Colloquia & Symposia provide a discussion forum for FIRST members and invited guests to share information about vulnerabilities, incidents, tools and all other issues that affect the operation of incident response and security teams. This is the fourth time to have TC in Japan, and the topic of this time is “IoT”.
For you that are new in FIRST or never have attended a TC, the colloquium typically provides one whole day of plenary sessions for informal discussions and presentations on topics of FIRST membership interest, or that are more sensitive in nature and related to the day-to-day work of participants.
The FIRST colloquia are typically hosted by members and since 2005 are being organized in a regional basis — the current regions being Latin-America, North-America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. For each region the goal is to organize one TC per year — either standing on its own, or jointly with regional CSIRT initiatives.
The Osaka TC intends to have presentation track and hands-on class(es). In addition, 2nd Summit Days (Global Vulnerability Reporting Summit) after 5 years at TC in Kyoto 2012 will be held for sharing vulnerability information on a global basis.
The World Border Security Congress, organized by the Torch Marketing will take place from 20th to 22nd March 2018 in Madrid, Spain. This Conference will cover areas like border surveillance techniques and systems, Is it possible to enhance the protection and management of extended land borders? What are the solutions, How can border agencies enhance border security and improve results, whilst under increasing pressure of resources and many more.
The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams is an international not-for-profit organization bringing together a variety of security and incident response teams. Today, FIRST is comprised of over 360 member teams from over 80 countries representing government agencies, academia, commercial enterprises, and financial corporations. FIRST is a front-line enabler in the global response community, providing access to best practices, tools, and trusted communication with its member teams. FIRST seeks to:
Facilitate better communication and information sharing among teams and the global community at large
Foster cooperation and coordination in incident prevention
Provide prompt rapid reaction to incidents Writing about FIRST, the leading British commentator
The wide diffusion of embedded systems, including multi-core, many-core, and reconfigurable platforms, poses a number of challenges related to the security of the operation of such systems, as well as of the information stored in them.
Malicious adversaries can leverage unprotected communication to hijack cyber-physical systems, resulting in incorrect and potentially highly dangerous behaviours, or can exploit side channel information leakage to recover secret information from a computing system. Untrustworthy third party software and hardware can create openings for such attacks, which must be detected and removed or countered. The prevalence of multi/many core systems opens additional issues such as NoC security. Finally, the complexity on modern and future embedded and mobile systems leads to the need to depart from manual planning and deployment of security features. Thus, design automation tools will be needed to design and verify the security features of new hardware/software systems.
The workshop is a venue for security and cryptography experts to interact with the computer architecture and compilers community, aiming at cross-fertilization and multi-disciplinary approaches to security in computing systems.
The 33rd International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN) will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which is organized by Korea Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers (KIISE) and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and IEICE Communications Society. It has been 33 years since ICOIN originally started under the name of Joint Workshop on Computer Communication in 1986. In past thirty years, computer communication and networking technologies have changed every aspect of our lives and societies. While computer networks have contributed largely to the current IT advancement, it will play a key role in new IT paradigms such as IoT and cloud computing and will be applied to various areas of the upcoming society including industry, business, politics, culture, medicine and so on. ICOIN is the most comprehensive conference focused on the various aspects of advances in computer communication and networking technologies.
The main purpose of ICOIN 2019 is to improve our research by achieving the highest capability and encourage open discussions on computer communication and networking technologies. Authors are invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that demonstrate recent advances in computer communications, wireless/mobile networks, and converged networks in the theoretical and practical aspects.
ICGHIT (International Conference on Green and Human Information Technology) is an international conference focusing on green and information technologies oriented to humanity. The goal of ICGHIT is to form a platform to seek the advancement of green technology and human related IT in an interdisciplinary manner. The main topics of the conference are green IT, communication and IoT, computer and network security, multimedia and signal processing, control and intelligent system, and green IC system design. Many papers on advanced technology will be presented and the various products of multiple companies will be exhibited.
We hope to provide good chances about the topics for technical exchange and advancement, mutual cooperation among the participants, and local development of the country in which the conference holds. We believe that green technology and human IT are able to produce a synergy to enhance human welfare and humanity in present and future technological society.
A philosophy of the conference is the achievement of the dream of IT that is to improve human welfare and happiness. Therefore, we emphasize humanity as well as technology. We hope that you have chances to meet researchers interested in the areas and to be a friend with them. We will make the conference more open and friendly.
Big data and smart computing are emerging research fields that have recently drawn much attention from computer science and information technology as well as from social sciences and other disciplines.
The goal of the International Conference on Big Data and Smart Computing (BigComp), initiated by KIISE (Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers), is to provide an international forum for exchanging ideas and information on current studies, challenges, research results, system developments, and practical experiences in these emerging fields.
Following the successes of the previous BigComp conferences in Bangkok, Thailand (2014), Jeju, Korea (2015), Hong Kong, China (2016), Jeju, Korea (2017), and Shanghai, China (2018), the 2019 International Conference on Big Data and Smart Computing (BigComp 2019) will be held in Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
The conference is co-sponsored by IEEE and KIISE. BigComp 2019 invites authors to submit original research papers and original work-in-progress reports on big data and smart computing.
Devopsdays is a worldwide series of technical conferences covering topics of software development, IT infrastructure operations, and the intersection between them. Each event is run by volunteers from the local area.
Most devopsdays events feature a combination of curated talks (see open calls for proposals ) and self organized open space content. Topics often include automation, testing, security, and organizational culture.
ICNT 2019 will offer an extensive program of interest to academia, government and industry. It will include several distinguished keynote speakers and three conference days full of parallel sessions, Cairo city visiting, etc. A series of exciting speeches to develop skills in and advance awareness of requirements engineering practices is of particular interest to industry.
